Howdy folks. A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor of meeting a cross-country bicyclist who was coming through Manitou Springs that afternoon. Let me tell you, our talking was SO inspiring!

It turns out this girl had begun her trip in Milwaukee, Wisconsin a few weeks ago and was planning to arrive in Santa Fe, New Mexico in the next few days. Oh it was so good to converse with her! Her example of riding such a long distance really encouraged me on successfully riding my bike across Colorado, from border to border.

Also, she attracted sponsors who donated money for a non-profit charity that helps children in Central America and other "coffee-growing" areas, an organization called Coffee Kids. CLICK HERE and check out their web site! :)

Oh, one last thing, I forgot this young lady's first name. :-( Karen, the local Manitou woman who loved those pitzels this summer, also met her. Karen! Do you remember her name? HELP!

Anyhow, it was just one of those neat occurences. Mark my words, I may not have completed my trans-Colorado trip this summer, but it's going to happen! :)
