MANITOU SPRINGS, CO - Two large bags of garbage, estimated at a weight of eight pounds, were stuffed full this afternoon when Steve "ColoradoGuy" Garufi cleaned out his Honda CRX for the first time in over three months.

"Oh Steve, you are a pig! I'm going to have to look after you (about cleaning your car)." exclaimed ex-Hair Consultant Donna Ward, who witnessed the event.

According to reports, Steve had not cleaned out his car since late summer, and owns a dubious reputation for having a messy car and being very lazy about washing his dishes in his kitchen sink.

Steve himself, admitted the mess had become intolerable. "Oh it had gotten bad. I mean, there's no way I could've used my car for a date, not that I get a lot of dates."

As he cleaned his car on Manitou Avenue in the downtown district, many took notice of the two large garbage bags and other crap that was removed from his car. "I bet you'll get better gas mileage with all that extra weight out of there." said one anonymous onlooker.

Along with the two full bags of garbage that contained papers, fast food wrappers and cans of soda, Steve extracted a large pile of clothing (sitting on the car roof in the above picture), numerous pieces of junk mail, a telephone book and numerous political campaign yard signs.

"Things just got really busy these past two weeks ... I'm determined to keep my car cleaner." reflected Steve.
